Adriana Karembeu (born Adriana Sklenarikova, September 17, 1971) is a Slovak fashion model. She is very accomplished as a model, having graced the covers of numerous fashion magazines, including just about every men's magazine around. She is now a favorite among fashion designers as well, especially Vivianne Westwood. Her face is recognizable, but mostly to Europeans. In North America, she has yet to enter the public's imagination with the same force as other European models such as Daniela Pestova. In our view, she is one Sports Illustrated cover away from mega-stardom.

She was born to a Slovak mother and Czech father in Brezno, a small town of central Slovakia (then part of Czechoslovakia). Being born in a war torn and financially strapped country, and coming to a new world of fashin was a big change for her. ''I've changed my life from black to white. There was nothing like fashion in Slovakia'' Adriana just signed a two year contract with Wonder Bra and is now part of the exclusive Victoria Secrets modeling team. Adriana is now happily living in Madrid with her soccer player husband Christian Karembeu. 

The companies she has represented include Argentovivo, Byron Lars, Laura Biagiotti, Levante Hosiery, List, Love Sex Money, Onyx Jeans, Peroni Beer, Red Point, and Roberto Cavalli. It was her campaign for Peroni Beer that really launched her career, and helped pave the road for her current success, by highlighting her as the ultimate beer woman.

Having originally studied medicine in Prague, Adriana gave up her studies to become a model. On December 22, 1998, she married French football player Christian Karembeu and took his name. She was also one of the models for Wonderbra and was very popular in Europe for her Wonderbra billboards. 

Adriana has just signed a two-year contract with Wonder Bra, and is now part of the exclusive Victoria's Secret modeling team, a move that has spelled considerable success for other major super models such as Tyra Banks, and Daniela Pestova. Adriana is now happily living in Madrid, with her soccer player husband Christian Karembeu. The marriage was a major event in Spain in December of 1998, since Adriana is one of the best known models in Europe, and her husband is the star of one of the country's leading soccer teams. 

She lives permanently in Paris, but she has also lived in various cities in Europe such as Athens and Madrid. Her 50-inch long legs earned her an entry in The Guinness Book of World Records. She has been married to football (soccer) player Christian Karembeu since 1998. Adriana is a vegetarian. Her favorite dish is potato souffle.
