Silvia Colloca (born on May 23, 1978) is an Italian actress. She and her husband, Australian actor Richard Roxburgh, met during the filming of Van Helsing (2004). Her older sister Alessandra lives in Sicily. Her older brother Giammarco is a chef. Is the youngest of three siblings.
Her father is called Mario and her mother, Loredana, lives in Milan. Is a trained mezzo soprano, Speaks fluent English and Italian. Son Raphael Roxburgh was born February 2007. She turned down the role of Azelia in TV movie "The curse of King's Tut Tomb". Leonor Varela replaced her. She had played characters with Romanian accents in both Van Helsing and The Detonator.
Colloca was born in Milan to Loredana and Mario Colloca. Her first major film role was in Van Helsing, in which she played Verona, one of Dracula's brides. In September 2004, she married the actor who played Dracula in that film, Richard Roxburgh. At a young age, Silvia possesed a passion to be an actress. At the age of 13, she was enrolled in acting school where she studied for the next 7 years. Other than acting, Silvia attended The Music Academy of Milan for 4 years. There she became a trained mezzo-soprano leading her to roles in many illustrious Italian musical theatre productions.
