"Every time I receive a letter from anyone, I am surprised and honored, but knowing that people enjoy my work in countries I have never seen, is truly amazing. I still dance. I still dance, probably three times a week, unless I'm working on a crazy job, and then I just don't have any free time at all. Right now, I definitely dance. I don't do ballet, because for me, it's kind of hard to look at myself dancing when I don't do it all day long, every day." |

Summer Glau was born on July 24th 1981, in San Antonio Texas where she was the first of three daughters. Her father is a general contractor and her mother is a schoolteacher. A rigourous ballet training schedule required that Summer be home schooled by he mother from grades 3 to 12., Summer trained and performed as a dancer throughout her teenage years until a serious injury forced her to take time to heal. During this time, while visiting friends in Los Angeles she booked her first acting job. Shortly after, she made the decision to move to LA and began working steadily as an actor and dancer.
