"I'm so glad you like them! I actually joke with the camera guys, "Are you shooting my butt? Are you getting me full-length? Because I don't like my butt." I'm that girl. And they're like, "Moon". I like to think I'm multifaceted. Sexy but approachable. I don't have to be the sex kitten." |

Korinna Moon Bloodgood[1] (born September 20, 1975) is an American actress and model. She has starred in the films Eight Below and Pathfinder. Bloodgood also appeared alongside Taye Diggs in ABC's Day Break. She portrayed Rita Shelton, the girlfriend of a detective who is framed for murder and arrested in the span of a day but continually finds himself reliving that same day. An actress whose early screen credits include such telling roles as "Gorgeous Woman" and "Stripper," Maxim Magazine "Hot 100" list-maker Moon Bloodgood no doubt possesses the kind of exotic beauty that's a pleasure to take in on the big screen, and thankfully for movie lovers, she's got the talent to match those good looks.
An aspiring singer/songwriter who was collaborating with Paul Anka at the time she was approached to audition for a guest role in the hit NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me, Bloodgood would eventually win the role, and subsequent appearances in CSI and Monk followed in quick succession. Though the Korean/Irish/Dutch actress went on to find her footing on the big screen with supporting roles in such features as A Lot Like Love, Moonlight Serenade, and Eight Below, it wasn't until she co-starred as the Native American Starfire in director Marcus Nispel's Pathfinder that she really began to shine.
Bloodgood was born in Anaheim, California, to an American father of Dutch and Irish descent and a South Korean mother; her father was stationed in Korea when he met her mother. Bloodgood is a former cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers. She was engaged to actor and singer Eric Balfour (April 24, 2005). She was ranked #99 in Maxim magazine's Hot 100 of 2005 list, #53 in 2006 and #40 in 2007.
Back on the small screen, Bloodgood made a splash in the innovative police detective series Day Break, playing Rita Shelten, the girlfriend of protagonist Detective Brett Hopper (Taye Diggs). In the style of Groundhog Day mixed with the thriller aspects of 24, the wrongly accused Hopper suffered the same day repeatedly, trying desperately to prevent Rita from dying each time the day restarted. Unfortunately, the series didn't catch on with the public, but Bloodgood was soon at work again on another creative, sci-fi-tinged prime-time series in fall 2007: Journeyman.
That show followed the travails of a man (Kevin McKidd) who begins to time travel unwittingly, eventually running into his presumed-dead first love, Livia (Bloodgood), who is actually alive and well -- and also a fellow time-traveler. Though the series garnered a modest but dedicated audience, it wasn't enough for the show make it past its first season. Bloodgood was soon back onscreen, however, appearing in the Barry Levinson-directed comedy drama What Just Happened? opposite an impressive cast that included Robert De Niro, Stanley Tucci, Sean Penn, and John Turturro.
As of 2007, Bloodgood starred as Livia Beale in the American science-fiction television series Journeyman on NBC. The show suffered from low ratings, and following the WGA Writer's Strike, Journeyman was effectively cancelled by NBC in December of 2007, when the network chose not to order the second half of the first season.
Ethnicity: Korean, Irish and Dutch. Engaged to actor Eric Balfour (April 24, 2005).Ranked #99 in Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2005 list. One People magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People in the world 2006. Ranked #53 in Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2006 list. Ranked #40 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2007 list.
She will have a role in the upcoming movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, to be released in 2009, and will star in the fourth film in the Terminator series.
