"I hate being a blonde. It's going to be fun, probably pretty rough and hectic, Don't ever be afraid to step out and do something different. We are all put in different positions for different reasons. In terms of my career, I am glad about the steps and moves that I have made." |

Leslie Louise Bibb (born November 17, 1974 in Bismarck, North Dakota) is an American actress and former fashion model. Already a familiar face to young audiences due to her extensive teen modeling career, actress Leslie Bibb broke through with an auspicious starring role on The WB's high school drama "Popular" (1999-2001), playing Brooke McQueen, a cheerleader under pressure to keep up her perfect image. When her rival, the headstrong school newspaper reporter Sam joins her family (Brooke's single father hooks up with Sam's single mother), it shakes the foundation of the teenager's life and somewhat twisted self-image.
Although the tall blonde actress herself was quite a few years out of high school when taking the role of 16-year old Brooke, her youthful looks and somewhat wide-eyed manner belied her real age. The youngest of four daughters raised in Virginia by her mother (a young widow), Bibb got her start after one of her sisters entered her in a model search sponsored by "The Oprah Winfrey Show".
Leslie Louise Bibb was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, on November 17, 1974, and raised in Nelson County, Virginia. Her father died when she was only 3 years old. Later she and her mother, along with her three older sisters, moved to Richmond, Virginia where she attended an all-girls Catholic high school, Saint Gertrude High School.
In 1990 The Oprah Winfrey Show and the Elite Agency held a nationwide modeling search. Leslie's mother took photos of her then 16-year-old daughter and sent them in. The celebrity judges, John Casablancas, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Iman were impressed and they picked her as the winner.
After finishing her junior year, Leslie flew to New York City and signed a contract with Elite Agency. She modeled over that summer, and went on a trip to Japan. She returned home for her senior year and graduated in 1992. Then she decided to attend the University of Virginia. After a single semester, she dropped out and moved to New York City to pursue a full-time modeling career. Her modelling photographs have appeared in such magazines as Maxim and FHM. She also attended the William Esper acting studio for three years. She is a cousin of Bob Bibb of Lifetime Television.
Leslie's first film role was in the comedy Private Parts. This was followed by her first television series, where she replaced the departed Susan Walters as the female lead in the second season of The Big Easy. Most critics panned the show and it was canceled months later after low ratings. her feature film debut with a role as an NBC tour guide in the 1997 film adaptation of Howard Stern's autobiography "Private Parts". That same year, Bibb's small screen appearances included guest roles on NBC's "Fired Up" and "Just Shoot Me" as well as her first regular starring role on television, replacing Susan Walters as the female lead of USA Network's New Orleans-set crime drama series "The Big Easy".
In 1999 she had her big break appearing as a lead character on the WB Network television series Popular. The show was a major success among teenagers and led Leslie to more recognizable film roles such as The Skulls and See Spot Run. Since then she has had notable guest roles on TV shows such as ER, Line of Fire and CSI:Miami. Leslie also joined the cast of Crossing Jordan as Detective Lu Simmons until her recurring character was killed in Season 6. After more guest appearances on "Something So Right" (ABC) and "Early Edition" (CBS), she had a featured starring role in a 1999 episode of the short-lived "Walker, Texas Ranger" spin-off "Sons of Thunder", playing a targeted young woman claiming to be the daughter of regular Butch (Alan Autry). Returning to features, she landed a supporting role in heartfelt independent comedy "This Space Between Us" and a starring turn alongside Devon Gummersall and Eion Bailey as a naive aspiring actress in L.A. in "The Young Unknowns" (both 1999). Following her newfound "Popular" fame, Bibb could be seen in the thriller "Skulls" (2000), starring fellow WBer Joshua Jackson as a Yale student who unknowingly joins a sinister secret society.
In movie work, Leslie played Will Ferrell's wife in the hit comedy movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. She also played Desiree in the 2007 production Wristcutters: A Love Story. She will appear as a "fast-talking" reporter named Christine Everhart in the 2008 film Iron Man.
Leslie has three other projects in production. The first is the role of Emma in Trick 'r Treat . The second is the role of Maya in the horror/thriller Midnight Meat Train. And lastly she will be seen on TV in the show Atlanta in the role of Jessica, opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. She also has a role in the 2009 comedy Confessions of a Shopaholic, as the co-worker to the main character, played by Isla Fisher.
