Famous Quote

"One of the first agents I got, I told, ‘When I grow up, I’m going to be on a soap opera. You can get me commercials and stuff now, but what I really want to do someday is be on a soap opera.’ They were like, ‘Oh, little Kirsten, how cute, she’s only 5 and wants to be on a soap opera.’ No one took me seriously. But I knew, even though I hadn’t actually ever watched one, it was something I always wanted to do."

Biography Kirsten Storms Biography

Kirsten Renee Storms (born April 8, 1984, in Orlando, Florida) is an American actress best known for her role as Isabella "Belle" Black in the NBC soap opera Days of our Lives from 1999 to 2004, and for her multiple starring roles as Zenon in Disney Channel productions. Storms currently stars on the ABC soap opera General Hospital and its prime-time spin-off General Hospital: Night Shift portraying Maxie Jones

Storms was born in Orlando, Florida. She is the daughter of Mike (a sportscaster) and Karen Storms. She has a younger sister named Gretchen and an older brother named Austin (an Army paratrooper/medic). At the age of 5, Storms was discovered by a talent scout while performing in a showcase at an acting school for children. The talent scout convinced her parents into enrolling their child in an intensive children's program in New York. Kirsten lived the normal life of a child until she was five years old. While performing in a showcase at an area acting school for kids, Kirsten was discovered by a talent scout who convinced her parents to enroll their daughter in an intensive children's acting program in New York.

The class paid off when she caught the eye of several major casting directors. At the tender age of five, Kirsten Storms already knew what she wanted to do with her life, she longed to perform in front of the camera. Kirsten would tag along with her father, Mike, to the CBS affiliate in Orlando where he was the sportscaster. She would saunter onto the news set pretending to be the weathercaster. The station recorded her forecassts so the rising star could critique her "work." She was hooked! Which leads us to her current role as precocious Belle Black (Deidre Hall & Drake Hogestyn's on-screen teen daughter) in the long-running hit daytime drama, "Days Of Our Lives."

After numerous commercials, Kirsten's first television series was a recurring role on ABC's "Second Noah." When the series ended its run, the family decided to head west and give Hollywood a try. Kirsten soon landed the role of Laura Cummings on the hit WB series, "7th Heaven." She was later chosen to star as spicy, free-spirited Zenon in the Disney Channel's original movie, "Zenon; Girl of the 21st Century." The movie had the largest rating for any Disney Channel original movie. This September Kirsten reprises her role when filming starts in September in Vancouver. The film will be released in January 2001. The busy young teen also appeared on Lifetime's weekly series, "Any Day Now" with Annie Potts. Other credits include the Disney syndicated series, "Sing Me A Story With Bell" and "The Trojan Horse," a Hallmark Entertainment production. She also completed principal photography in Disney Channel's "Johnny Tsunami."

After appearing in a handful of commercials, Storms' television series jobs included a recurring role on ABC's Second Noah plus a lead role in "Sing Me a Story with Belle" on Saturday mornings, she moved with her family to California. Soon after that, she landed the role of Laura Cummings on The WB's long-running program 7th Heaven. She appeared in three episodes between 1998 and 2001, in which she played a girlfriend of Simon (played by David Gallagher). She was later chosen to play the title character in the Disney Channel's original movie Zenon: Girl of the 21st century.

The movie had the largest rating for any Disney Channel original movie at the time. She later reprised the role in two sequels. Storms continued to appear in a string of family shows and TV movies, including the Disney syndicated series Sing Me a Story with Belle and The Trojan Horse, a Hallmark production. She also took a supporting role in Disney's Johnny Tsunami and voiced Bonnie Rockwaller in the Disney Channel animated series Kim Possible.

In 1999, Storms signed on to play Isabella "Belle" Black on the NBC daytime drama Days of our Lives. Kirsten amicably left the soap opera after five years to focus on a prime time career. Her final episode aired on July 16, 2004. Kirsten is thrilled to be part of the great cast of "Days Of Our Lives." She loves reading and hanging out with her friends at the local at the movie theatre where her older brother, Austin, works. Her younger sister, Gretchen, is also an actress. Herfamily has three dogs, all rescued golden retrievers named Shelby, Grayson and Hunter. She also has two cats, Priscilla and Rum Tug Tugger.

Clubhouse was another acting job as a regular cast member on a prime-time television show. The show aired on CBS and was created by Daniel Cerone and produced by superstar producer Aaron Spelling (the man who helped launch such hits as Beverly Hills, 90210, 7th Heaven and Melrose Place). The series revolved around Pete Young (Jeremy Sumpter) and his dream of becoming a professional baseball player. Storms played Pete's sister, Betsy. Betsy was a rebellious teenager often finding herself in trouble over such issues as sex, drugs, and alcohol. The role was noted as an obvious departure from her Days character, Belle, who was generally good-natured. The show ended up being cancelled after 4 episodes. It shot 8 episodes, and can be viewed on "Brilliant, But Cancelled" on cable TV.

Storms returned to familiar territory on May 23, 2005, becoming the third actress to portray Maria Maximiliana "Maxie" Jones on the popular ABC soap opera General Hospital. She has previously dated Erik-Michael Estrada from the group O-Town, actor Josh Henderson, and Ben Hogestyn, the son of former co-star Drake Hogestyn.

She is currently engaged to Elias Reidy of the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. On September 7, 2007, she was pulled over on a Los Angeles freeway by California Highway Patrol for tossing a lit cigarette out of her window. Officers then noticed "the odor of an alcoholic beverage" coming from the car, and, after failing sobriety tests, she was arrested for DUI.

Older sister of Gretchen Storms, Storms' on-screen older sister, Alison Sweeney(Samantha Brady on "Days of Our Lives" (1965)), refers to her as her "mini me.", Has two older brothers: Chris (step-brother; paternal) and Austin. Had three golden retrievers named Shelby, Grayson and Hunter. Rescued dogs with her family from the local animal shelters. Father was Sports Director of WFTV and WCPX (now WKMG) in Orlando, Works with programs supporting American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq as her older brother Austin is currently serving in Iraq, Is good friends with actresses Alexis Thorpe, Farah Fath, Nadia Bjorlin, Heather Lindell, and Lindze Letherman, Julie Berman, and Kelly Monaco. She and former Days of Our Lives co-star, Jason Cook, presented Shia LaBeouf with a Daytime Emmy in 2003 at Radio City Music Hall. Cousin of University of Georgia's quarterback Matthew Stafford.

In November 2007, she pleaded no contest to the charges and was ordered to attend a dozen AA meetings, complete a 90-day alcohol program, and pay $1,643 in fines. She also had her license suspended for six months and was placed on three years probation.
