Famous Quote

"I've still got lots of ambition. I want to have an Oscar by the time I'm 35, so I'd better hurry up, You get noticed a lot more. The complexion's a bit of a bugger, especially when you've got really red eyebrows and eyelashes and you look like an albino, I love dancing and took some pole-dancing lessons recently."

Biography Jakki Degg Biography

Jakki Degg (born February 20, 1978 in Stone, Staffordshire) is an English model, and former Page 3 girl for the newspaper The Sun. From a very early age Jakki showed she had an artistic temperament and flair, began a dancing career at the age of 4, taking up ballet dancing. At 11 went on to disco and rock and roll competition dancing. Jakki reached Championship status in both categories at the age of 15.

When she was 4 years old she started to take ballet lessons. When she was 20 she got her own hair saloon. Her fame came when she won the Max Power magazine babes competition. She appeared in magazines like Front, Loaded, FHM, Esquire, M8, GQ, Maxim, Fast Car, Boys Toys, OK, and Max Power and newspapers like The Sun and Daily Star. The Sun readers chose her the best Page 3 Girl Ever in 2001. Left school and went straight to college to train as a hairdresser. By the age of 20 was managing her own salon in Walsall.

Hitting the club scene at 17/18, it became apparent to her from the male attention she always received that she should seriously look at her career options and decided to take a 'crack' at modelling. Tried beauty competitions, but not only were they 'rigged' big time, but everyone was so bitchey! Persuaded by her mother, Jakki entered the Max Power Live Babe competition at the N.E.C. in Birmingham in 1999. She won and that is where her modelling career began.

Jakki became famous when she won the inaugural Max Power magazine babes competition. Following this she became a Page 3 model for The Sun, as well as posing topless and semi-nude for "lads" mags such as Front. Although Jakki officially retired from Page 3 modeling the following year, her presence still continued to be felt thanks to a huge advertising campaign for PlayStation 2 and appearances on Fear Factor and a celebrity version of The Weakest Link. Proving herself to be more than just a pretty face, Jakki even won the competition, earning 15,000 pounds for the RSPCA in the process.

She has appeared on television several times, including winning the glamour models special edition of The Weakest Link (BBC1), and also had a small role in the drama Is Harry on the Boat? (Sky One). She was also a stand-in for the T.V show The Games but was not utilised, and starred in the American film Eurotrip.

More recently, Jakki has ceased to do topless modelling, instead remaining more covered up. However, Jakki returned to page 3 of the Sun in August 2006 after a 4 year absence. Jakki has also become a familiar face on the tube thanks to well-received appearances on Fear Factor and The Weakest Link and in films, such as Is Harry on the Boat? (2002), Coming Up for Air (2003) and EuroTrip (2004). In October 2006 Jakki commented in a "Lad's mag" interview that she would consider posing for US Playboy, if she were to be made the cover girl and if "the money was right".
