Biography: Rachel Skarsten (born April 23, 1985 in Toronto) is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Dinah Lance on the television series Birds of Prey. Rachel got into acting when a family member sent a tape of her singing at her father’s funeral. She was around 9 yrs old at the time. She immediately got into commercials and small TV roles.Also she was very much into ballet until she grew too tall for the pursuit. She then got into hockey and goal tending when watching Curtis Joesph play.

Attending the Claude Watson Art School she studied the arts there until graduating. During that time she had a regular role on the TV series Little Men. In 2002 she became a regular on the short lived TV series Birds Of Prey. Since the cancellation of the show she has appeared in a few more indie movies.

Skarsten studied ballet in Toronto Royal Academy of Dance and instrumental music at Claude Watson School for the Arts where she was a cellist in the school orchestra. Later she was hired to play Bess in the television series Little Men and Dinah Lance in the television series Birds of Prey. A graduate of Toronto’s prestigious Claude Watson School for the Arts fluent in Norwegian, She is of Norwegian decent, and can speak some Norwegian.

She plays hockey, position Goalie. Played for the Toronto Leaside Wildcats, and won a city championship with them. Loves dancing, and was a hardcore ballet dancer studying with Toronto’s Royal Academy of Dance before she became too tall. She is also a accomplished musician, plays the Cello and piano and also sings.

Skarsten also enjoys skiing, skating, swimming, and plays goalie for a hockey team that won the Toronto City championships. She is 5′ 10″ tall. She is currently enrolled at Queens University where she’s completing her BAH in English Literature.
