Famous Quote

"Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying. As far as the future for the Showtime episodes that have already aired, we are sold into syndication so we'll be appearing primarily on the Fox syndicated networks and then eventually the SCI FI Channel. So, we'll be around for a while."

Biography Wallace Langham Biography

Wallace Langham (born March 11, 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American actor who has been seen on many famous television shows either in guest roles or starring roles. He is probably best known for his role as David Hodges in the popular American crime drama television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Brown-haired, green-eyed actor Wallace Langham has made a nice transition from the "kid next door" and menacing delinquent roles he used to play billed as Wally Ward. He showed the nicer side in his feature debut, John Hughes' "Weird Science" (1985), as well as in "The Invisible Kid" (1988) and the "ABC Afterschool Special" entitled "Just a Regular Kid: An AIDS Story" (1987) but was equally effective as a young bigot in "Soul Man" (1986) and a hard-edged gang leader in the impressive low-budgeter "The Chocolate War" (1988).

Children Alex (b. 1989) and Chloe (b. 1991). He was accused of beating a stringer for the Star tabloid during an altercation on September 7 1999. He was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of committing a hate crime. He agreed to a six-figure settlement with the reporter who accused him of an anti-gay hate crime on January 26th 2000. The altercation between the two men stemmed from remarks that the reporter allegedly made about Langham's girlfriend.

Met his wife Laura on the set of Weird Science (1985). They were married a year and a half later. Was in the movie Combat High (1986) (TV) with Keith Gordon and later starred in Gordon's first film as director The Chocolate War (1988). He is part of the pre-show for the ride Dinosaur! in Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando. He explains the reason for going back in time and saving a stray dinosaur and his voice can be heard throughout the ride.

He used to play billed as Wally Ward. Langham first got his start in the John Hughes movie Weird Science, as well as in The Invisible Kid and the ABC Afterschool Special entitled Just a Regular Kid: An AIDS Story but later moved to roles as a young bigot in Soul Man and as a gang leader in The Chocolate War. He performed in the Eddie Murphy comedy Daddy Day Care, And was last seen in the comedy Little Miss Sunshine.

Langham dropped the Ward moniker in the 1990s as he moved to more adult roles, appearing as a regular in the much-hyped but short-lived CBS series WIOU. His big breakthrough came when he was cast as Phil, the cynical staff writer for insecure talk show host Garry Shandling, in HBO's hit sitcom The Larry Sanders Show. Langham then took on a role in NBC's Veronica's Closet, playing Kirstie Alley's uptight assistant Josh. He then appeared on the short-lived Joan Cusack sitcom What About Joan?. He has also guest-starred on many shows including, Murphy Brown, NewsRadio, ER, Murder, She Wrote, Sex and the City, Medium, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Star Trek: Voyager, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Grace Under Fire.

Langham dropped the Ward moniker in the 1990s as he moved to more adult roles, appearing as a regular in the much-hyped but short-lived CBS series "WIOU" (1990-91). Although he almost opened a coffee shop in a moment of despair, his bad luck ended when he landed the part of Phil, the cynical head writer for insecure talk show host Garry Shandling, in HBO's hit sitcom "The Larry Sanders Show" (1992-98). Langham then took on TV's most prominent potentially gay role since Ellen in NBC's "Veronica's Closet" (1997-2000), playing Kirstie Alley's uptight assistant Josh (who everyone assumes is homosexual but has not come out) while continuing as Phil.

Was the voice of Andy French on the short-lived animated series Mission Hill. He voices Basil Karlo/Clayface in the WB animated series The Batman. He can currently be seen starring as lab technician David Hodges on the CBS hit series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. At the eighth season premiere, Langham was listed in the main titles.

He is part of the pre-show for the ride DINOSAUR in Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. He explains the reason for going back in time and saving a stray dinosaur and his voice can be heard throughout the attraction. In March of 2000, Langham pleaded no contest to battery charges after beating a gay tabloid reporter and was ordered to serve three years probation and to serve 450 hours of community service for gay and lesbian charities, and to donate $10,000 to the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. In exchange for pleading no contest, prosecutors dropped a hate crime charge that had been filed against the actor.
