Jonathan Frederick Togo (born August 25, 1977) is an American actor. A charismatic young actor with a natural on-screen presence, Jonathan Togo found success in series television by portraying ambitious sweater-vest clad criminalist Ryan Wolfe on the hit drama, “CSI: Miami” (2002- ). A graduate of Vassar College’s prestigious theater program, Togo got his start on stage before making the transition to Hollywood. Joining the cast of “Miami” with only a few credits to his name, Togo proved that he could hold his own with the rest of the cast and quickly became an up-and-comer worth watching.
Jonathan Togo was born on August 25, 1977, to Michael and Sheila Togo. He was raised in Rockland, Massachusetts, attending Hebrew school as a child and graduating from Rockland High School in 1995. He went on to attend Vassar College, graduating with a BA in Theater. While at Vassar, he performed in a band with Sam Endicott and John Conway, both of whom are now members of the band The Bravery. Togo was born in Rockland, Massachusetts, the son of Sheila, a store owner, and Michael Togo, a graphic designer. Togo's mother is of Italian and Irish descent and his father is Jewish, with the original family surname being "Tonkaviev". He was raised in Rockland, Massachusetts.
As a child, he attended a Hebrew school and graduated from Rockland High School in 1995. He went on to attend Vassar College, graduating with an B.A in theater, and furthered his studies at the National Theater Institute of the Eugene O’Neill Theater. While at Vassar he performed in a band named "The El Conquistadors" (originally named Skabba the Hut) with Sam Endicott and John Conway, both of whom are now members of the successful band The Bravery.
Jonathan has performed in numerous plays, including "Our Country's Good" for which he won the Margaret Thatcher Kazan Award. He has several TV show credits under his belt including a starring role in "Special Unit 2" (2001) as well as appearances in "Judging Amy" (1999), "Law & Order" (1990), "Ed" (2000), and "The Jury" (2004). Togo has performed and participated in numerous plays, including Our Country's Good for which he won an award. Togo went on to make his television debut in 2001 with a recurring role on the sci-fi cop show, “Special Unit 2” (2001-02). He next appeared in the Sundance Director’s Lab short, “Up” (2002) and landed guest appearances on the television series’ “Judging Amy” (1999-2005), “Law & Order” (1990- ), and “Ed” (2000-04). Making his feature film debut in 2003, Togo landed a small role opposite Sean Penn and Tim Robbins in the Clint Eastwood-directed drama “Mystic River.” After debuting in such an auspicious film, he went on to appear in his second short film, “Raccoon” (2004) as well as guest star on the short-lived FOX series, “The Jury” (2004).
By 2004, Togo landed his career-making part when he joined the cast of the hit CBS crime drama, “CSI: Miami” (2002- ) during its third season. Portraying detective-turned-rookie crime scene investigator Ryan Wolfe, Togo jumped on board after the departure of series regular, Rory Cochrane. Though Togo was initially nervous about being the token newcomer, he meshed well with the cast and quickly found success with the highly-rated medical procedural series.
Jonathan Togo highly resembles a CAPCOM fictional video game character named David Fork who appears in Dino Crisis 2. It is very possible that CAPCOM created David Fork after Jonathan Togo. Attended Vassar College.

Lived in Brooklyn, New York. Jonathan plays a saxophone and guitar and played in a punk rock/ska band called Skabba The Hut while at college. The band broke up - but two of the members are now in a successful group called The Bravery. His family name was originally Tonkaview, but was shortened to Togo by a forefather who wanted something a bit snappier for his carpet business.
