Glenn Morshower (born April 24, 1959) is an American actor perhaps known for his recurring role as Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce on the television drama 24. Aside from series star Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer), Morshower is the only actor to appear in each of the six seasons of the series. His character Pierce has developed a following among the show's fandom. Morshower was born in Dallas, Texas as Glenn Grove Bennett. He began his acting career at the age of 12 at the Dallas Theater Center. At age 15 he began doing television commercials and moved into the feature film world at age 16, starring in the movie Drive-In. After graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1977, Glenn moved to Hollywood. He married his high school sweetheart Carolyn in 1978. They are still together and have two grown children. Over the years, he has appeared in small roles in high profile blockbusters, mainly playing military or secret service type characters. Morshower has guest-starred on many TV series, including The Dukes of Hazzard, Matlock, Quantum Leap, Star Trek: The Next Generation, NYPD Blue, The X-Files, Millennium, Babylon 5, Star Trek: Voyager, King of the Hill, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, JAG, Alias, Star Trek: Enterprise, Crossing Jordan, Deadwood, ER, NCIS, The Closer, and Full House. In addition to making guest appearances on three Star Trek series, he also had a small part in Star Trek Generations. Morshower has had recurring roles on The West Wing and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Survived a car accident in December 2001. Has traveled extensively as a motivational speaker. His program "The Extra Mile" teaches people how to embrace and express the fullness of their light. He started his acting career in 1975 with the leading role in the movie Drive-In (1976). He and Xander Berkeley both made guest appearances on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2000) as Las Vegas sheriffs. They also both had recurring roles on "24" (2001), and they also starred together in Air Force One (1997). Has played characters who have served two of TV's most famous fictional Presidents: President Jed Bartlet on "The West Wing" (1999), and President David Palmer on "24" (2001). Graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas, class of 1977. His name is spelled Morchower in his high school yearbook. Grew up on Currin Drive in Dallas, Texas. Attended Arthur Kramer Elementary School as a child. Other than Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), Morshower's character (Agent Aaron Pierce) is the only one to appear in all 6 seasons of "24" (2001). As an actor he has played the role of no less than 53 different law enforcement military personnel: 22 Police Law enforcement officers; 21 Military Personnel; and 10 Government agents. Recently he has played the role of quite a few Secret Service Agents. The Extra Mile" is a series of organic performances which are written and performed by Glenn Morshower. The program is a combination of motivation speaking, story telling, dramatic and comedic performance, actors instructional information, and life coaching. Thousands, including a good number of celebrities, have attended these events across the US. Glenn Morshower appeared on an episode of World Poker Tour on May 5, 2008. He finished 6th place. |
