Famous Quote: “When it comes to girl bands, we’re all rivals. We’re just relaxing at the moment, and we’ll probably do another single again one day, but nothing is planned for the near future. I didn’t expect him to be that mad in real life. I may be known as the girl who was sunbathing topless with a Prince but Jordan is known as that thick girl who always falls out of clubs drunk. I know which one I prefer.”

Biography: Jennifer Frost (born 22 February 1978) is an English singer, model, television personality, DJ and member of Atomic Kitten. Jenny Frost, Atomic Kitten. 5 million records for the suits, plenty of pop tunes for the ladies, three hot girls for the boys, their own racing teams and a BHS clothing line for the kids. A roaring global success in a market stuffed with failures, a formula that worked so well they could take a break from it knowing they had a guaranteed platform for solo success.

Frost loved music from an early age. Her earliest concert experience was when her father took her to a Level 42 concert at the age of nine. Sports and dancing were Frost’s favorite activities, however modelling was her dream. After high school she started to work for the BBC Television doing the Holiday programme and traveling around the world.

Frost started her musical career in 1998 in the girl-band Precious, which became famous by winning the right to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999, with the song “Say It Again”. In a strange reversal of what has frequently happened to British entries, this success propelled Jenny and the band to a big hit in the UK Singles Chart, while they flopped at the contest itself, finishing only twelfth. Subsequent releases by Precious enjoyed only modest success and Frost moved on by replacing Kerry Katona in Atomic Kitten in 2001, just in time to bask in the reflected glory of the band’s first UK No. 1 single, “Whole Again”.

A brave move you might say, but then as any of you who know her will agree, Jenny Frost never was one to shy away from a challenge. ‘The ultimate girl band member’ according to boys’ bible Arena, ‘stunning’ said the style svengalis at Elle and ‘the cool Kitten’ to quote ES magazine. Jenny’s already a star, that much we know, but she’s continuing to shine brighter than ever.

After a brief stab at stardom with girl band Precious, Jenny spent three and a half years at the very top with the Kittens before all 3 took a break to go it alone. ‘We were all a bit in shock when Tash decided to stop to have her babies but secretly I think we all wanted to do our own thing at some stage,’ says Jen. ‘I love everything about Atomic Kitten, but I was definitely ready to sing my own songs and write for me. We still gig occasionally (most recently their biggest show to date for Nokia on New Year’s Eve 2006/7 in Hong Kong) and we meet up all the time so it’s the best of both worlds.

Jenny’s been non stop busy with her TV commitments, DJ tours, solo gigs and her number 1 club single “Crash Landing” but remember that she never was your stereo typical pop princess. Yes, she had Topshop and every other high street store clawing at her dressing room door, but equally excited about clothing her were Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabanna – not people to give their blessing lightly. In fact, fashionistas everywhere knew that Jenny had what it took to be a leading lady in the industry. That’s why Premier modelling agency (home to Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington) snapped her up and Vogue, InStyle and Tatler all booked her for fashion shoots. Jen has just recorded her debut single for a leading German label and it is scheduled to hit our airwaves again in spring ‘07.

Although she’s been the face (and body) of so many fashion shoots, let’s not forget she’s still the same girl we all know so well. Effortlessly stylish, naturally friendly and always the Kitten to have her band mates giggling, Jen’s as excited at the prospect of bouncing back into the pages of the biggest pop magazines as she is about shimmying into her Marc Jacobs shoes for the grown ups.

Frost got engaged to DJ Dom Thrupp in 2002 with plans to marry sometime in 2008. After the split of Atomic Kitten, Frost has embarked on a solo career and released her first single “Crash Landing” on 10 October 2005, which failed to reach the Top 40. Frost originally recorded the song for the band Route 1, but decided to remake it and shoot a video for the song which features Jenny in a spaceship in a pink/purple setting. She appeared on the 2005 edition of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on the ITV network. Frost is also part of Premier Model Management and does various modeling assignments like being the face of an underwear range.

Frost’s new song “Bad Girl” is available from her official MySpace. The song was originally written for Jennifer Lopez film, Enough, and was written by Frost’s boyfriend Dom Thrupp. Atomic Kitten released a cover of Cilla Black’s “Anyone who Had A Heart”. In September 2007, Frost confirmed on the television show, Loose Women, that she was indeed expecting a baby boy. Her son, Caspar J. Thrupp was born on 9 October 2007.

She’s now forging ahead with her TV career too, following numerous guest presenting slots on everything from MTV Awards shows to CDUK she has added to her appeal with in depth documentaries such as “My Breasts and I” for the BBC, mixed it with the insects on “I’m a Celebrity” and taken the boys on in “The Race”. With music being a dominant factor in Jen’s life it comes as no surprise that she has turned her hand to DJing. With her diverse taste in an array of musical styles we can guarantee that Jen’s record bag will be full of funky floor fillers and cool indie beats. Her dj shows have taken her all over the world, “So long as I have a crowd of people going for it in front of me I’m happy!” she laughs.
